Stories in Seven - February

07.February.2015

We're quite lucky to have an outdoor city rink right down the street from us. Literally five houses away. The majority of the time it's occupied by older teens and men playing fairly competitive hockey.

But we lucked out last weekend.

We had the rink almost to ourselves. Peter and the boys played some hockey, Eloise chased her ball around the ice (alternately eating ice), and I followed them around with my camera. Looking at these images, I see plenty of things that I wish I'd done differently. Frankly, I was a bit lazy... I should've gotten lower... I should've gotten closer.

But I was cold. And not wearing ski pants.

Lesson learned... dress more appropriately next time.

But I still love these pictures. Last September, none of the kids could even stand up on skates --I'm not exaggerating-- so they've come a long, long way.

If you enjoyed these, carry on through this awesome blog circle of talented photographers. Juliette Fradin Photography coincidentally also features ice skating. 'Tis the season!

So neat that you have a rink so close, dream come true! I can't get over the little one in her puffy snow suit, she is so stinking adorable! Can you package her up and mail her to me please?
