Stories in Seven - October
Another instalment of Stories in Seven, where some other photographers and I try to tell a story in seven images. Not as easy as it sounds! This month, I'm sharing some of our "back to school" images. Having homeschooled the kids for the last six years, starting at school --a new school, in a new city, in a new country-- was kind of a big deal.
Did I mention their new school is French? So new language as well!
Also... school. Real school. Where mom isn't there and doesn't get to control everything.
To say that it's been an adjustment would be an understatement... but that's a story for another time.
A long story. *sigh*
Here are a few of the pictures that I took the first morning of school, in between trying to get everything organized and be ready to go for 7am when the driver arrived.
And a few of the younger kids in their classes. I didn't subject Liam to that kind of humiliation. :)
Looks like a relatively small circle this month, so please take the time to visit the other photographers and see their story. Tiffany Roberts Photography is next, if you love bubbles and grubby baby feet. And who doesn't?
Amy Jay Photo is an Ottawa family photographer specializing in Documentary Family Photography and Birth Photography. However, at this time, I am on a short hiatus... living in Nigeria! Storytelling photography is my passion. I would love to tell your family's story... when I get back to Canada. :) In the meantime, feel free to follow along with my family as we adventure in Africa.
